Privacy Policy

Last updated September 3, 2026

This policy explains what Reckon Cloud collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

Account details you give us: name, email address, phone number and business name.

The business data you enter into the software: customers, suppliers, documents, stock and ledger entries.

Technical data: IP address, browser and pages visited, collected through the analytics tools described below.

We do not receive or store your card details. Payment data is handled entirely by Paddle.

Why we use it

To provide and support the service, to take payment through Paddle, to tell you about changes that affect your account, and to understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We rely on the contract with you for the first three, and on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site for the fourth.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses a session cookie that is necessary for it to work, and a cookie remembering your language choice.

When you open a page it also loads Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, the Meta pixel and the TikTok pixel. These set cookies that tell us which pages are read and which advertising brought somebody here. We use them to decide where to spend, not to build a profile of you, and we never sell what they collect.

You can stop them: block or clear cookies in your browser, install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, and turn off ad personalisation in your Meta and TikTok account settings. Doing so does not affect anything else on this site.

Who we share it with

Paddle, as merchant of record, for payment and invoicing.

Our hosting provider, which stores the databases.

The analytics and advertising providers named above.

We do not sell personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Business data for as long as the subscription is active, and 30 days after cancellation.

Enquiries sent through the contact form for two years.

Records we must keep for tax or accounting law, for as long as that law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to and we will answer within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Each business is held in a separate database rather than a shared table, so a mistake in one cannot expose another.

Access by our staff is limited to what support requires and is logged.

This document is a plain-language summary of the agreement between you and Reckon Cloud. If anything here is unclear, write to us before you subscribe.
